Kalam Valley Situated across the Swat River in Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Kalam Valley is Known for its magnificent waterfalls, lakes and lush green hills. It is Two Hundred and seventy (270) km drive from the capital city of Islamabad, Kalam is one of the popular destinations for tourists. its 29 km from Bahrain and about 6,800 ft above sea level, the valley opens out, providing rooms for a small but lush plateau above the river. In Kalam, the two rivers (Ushu and Utrot) join to form the Swat River. From Matiltan, tourist gets a majestic view of the snow-covered Mountain Falaksir 5918 M (19,415 ft), and of another unnamed Highest point 6096 M (20,000 ft.) high
In terms of altitude, Kalam and Murree are closer, but it appears far higher than the other popular hill station of Pakistan because you’re encircled by tall peaks as much as the eye can see.
The beautiful landscape of Swat’s Kalam natural depression with its gushing streams and rivers, thick alpine forests, lush inexperienced meadows, entrancing glacial lakes, supernatural peaks, and roaring waterfalls, is heaven for tourists in summer.
It is good that many hotels are open in Kalam where they provide
every facility. The best thing which I felt was changed from other tourist spots and hill stations in Pakistan was that everything here is available at fair prices. the people of Kalam were also helpful and food items were Reasonable than other tourist places of the country.
